Meet Adele Washington

Adele, as an Oregon native went to school here in Portland and has been here ever since. Doing hair in Portland has given her the opportunity to build wonderful relationships with her clients as well as the local hairdresser community. Adele has also taken many classes to continue her education and keep herself well rounded in her profession. She’s loved her opportunities of being published in Harpers Bazaar Magazine, as well as, having participated behind the scenes of Portland Fashion Week.
When she’s not behind the chair, she’s at home with her husband and senior pitbulls, that her and her husband rescue. She loves giving her time to rescuing dogs, working in their yard and spending time with family. When time affords it, she and her husband also love to travel.

Favorite hair icon: I have deep love and take much inspiration from Bridgette Bardot, Farrah Fawcett and Jane Birkin. The look of their effortlessness draws me, but don’t get me wrong, I love a good Audrey Hepburn!

Favorite hair tool: My Shears. It’s where I get to mold, shape and finish the look. I do also have to say, a good color brush comes in at close second. They do the painting and my shears do the sculpting.

Specialties: With 15 years of experience under my belt, I have honed in on the things I love most. I specialize in all blonding services. From lived in color to your full head of highlights. Your kind of blonde is my kind of blonde. Short precision haircuts are in my wheelhouse as well and something I love to do!

Best part of client relationships: Life behind the chair is so close to my heart and is a big part of who I am. I’ve learned from everyone who has sat in my chair and over the years it becomes a second family. I love it! The trust that people give you when they sit in the chair is amazing. Without it I wouldn’t be who I am today.

Favorite entertainment: Real Houswives, and Documentaries (crime ones especially) and The Office. It never gets old!
